Tectura® Process Manufacturing
You need a complete solution that addresses your back-end accounting needs and enables you to effectively manage formulation, packaging, pricing, and other aspects of your business.
Tectura ® Process Manufacturing, built on Microsoft Dynamics™ NAV, offers a full enterprise solution in compliance with all the requirements of process manufacturing companies. It is an ideal solution for chemical, food and beverage, and plastics manufacturers. You gain a single, flexible solution that links together production, inventory control, customer service, and order processing - and is built on technology you can trust. As a result, you can access the information you need to make better business decisions, more efficiently run your business, and stay ahead of the competition.
- Formula Management and Development - Create, copy and convert formulas so that you are able to lighten the task of data maintenance.
- Batch Traceability - Accurately track batches from their points of origin, through the manufacturing process and ultimately, to the consumer. With this functionality, you can use a single screen to quickly trace the origins of an ingredient and determine where specific lots were distributed. By not having to trace lots manually, you can save time and react faster.
- Quality Management - Integration of quality management concepts across the entire manufacturing process (procurement, production, and sales).
Chemical
- Bulk - Track inventory produced for one size, then packed and shipped in another. (For instance a chemical is produced in a drum, but its required to be shipped in quarts or gallons.)
- Hazardous Materials Management - Effectively manage instructions for handling chemicals and materials so that you have the necessary interaction information for required HAZMAT notifications.
- Reactions and Formulation by % - Identify the chemical and what amount is needed to act as an instigator or create a reaction in the recipe.
Plastics
- Tools (extrusion and downstream manufacturing) - When you force a plastic through a tool, or into a mold – the life of that mold or the tool you extrude through has to be tracked. Track the plastic, what you are pushing it though and how many times it’s been used.
- Lot Matching - Ability to identify and match lot numbers to ensure your plastic pellets have the right color intensity for your next extrusion.
Food
- Recipe Management - Easily create new recipes by combining ingredients, instructions, and quality control specifications into one form. From a single screen, you then can view, manipulate, and save the final version of the recipe. In addition, you can manage multiple batches, package sizes and lot control parameters.
- Traceability - Accurately track components from their points of origin (and in multiple units of measure), through the ingredients and recipe stages, and ultimately, to the consumer.
- Bio-hazard Act - Food safety—Gain the tracking and tracing capabilities needed to link consumed products with end product lots, as well as lot numbers and shipping details. Use this data to ensure compliance with government regulations from the European Food Safety Authority and the FDA, including the Bioterrorism Act (effective 2006). Guard against the production or distribution of products containing ingredients tainted with BSE (“mad cow” disease), salmonella, and E-coli.
- Packaging and Distribution Requirements - Track everything that touches the food (glass and plastic containers) and manage consumer and private labels through the distribution process.
Life Sciences (for process orientation)
- FDA 21 CPR Part 11 - Tracks all changes on selected areas, including master data and sales order information. The navigation functionality can track all related transactions for a single document. Together with our verification system, you can create complete audit trails, fulfilling the FDA’s requirements for electronic signatures and records.
- Validation – Tectura’s validation expertise assists clients in documenting processes that are in accordance with the FDA or a validation partner. GMP Compliance (Good Manufacturing Practice) requirements aim to help life sciences companies achieve validated and compliant automated systems. They provide suppliers of those automated systems with good practices for development and maintenance, and help them produce the necessary documentation required to support validation. To help companies achieve GMP, the experts at Tectura follow the Tectura® Solution Framework when implementing the life sciences solution and use Source Safe in the development environment, thereby ensuring quality at each stage within the technology lifecycle.
